- Will the CelAccess GC-1010 work with my existing system? Yes, the GC-1010 Cellular Access Controller connects easily to virtually all gate control panels, electronic lock controllers and electronic door openers. And, it's designed to compliment the keypad or push-button opener you are currently using so you can use the GC-1010 and your current systems. Your installer or maintenance company can install the GC-1010 in a matter of minutes.
- Is there a limit to the number of access codes I can create? On the GC-1010 Cellular Access Controller, you can create as many access codes as you want. In fact, it is best to give each person their own personal access code so you can monitor exactly who enters and when.
On the CTE-1000 Cellular Telephone Entry System, you can create up to 500 codes.
- Can I control how long the access codes are valid? Yes, on the GC-1010 Cellular Access Controller, you can create an access code to be valid for a certain number of uses, for a defined date/time range and/or days of the week, or until canceled. On the CTE-1000 Cellular Telephone Entry System, codes are valid until you remove them from the call box memory.
- Can I open the gate, door or lock if I’m not there? Yes, using the CG-1010 Cellular Access System, you can open the door, gate or lock directly from the CelAccess web site by logging in, or you can use your phone and dial the CelAccess automated service line at 866-ZAP-OPEN (866-927-6736) and enter the device number and your personal access code. The device will open even if you are not there in person.
- Can I use CelAccess products to open the gate, door or lock for an extended period of time? Yes, if supported by your electronic gate, door or lock, the CG-1010 will let you use the web site or phone to cycle the device open using the timer in the gate , door or lock controller, or you can have it remain open for up to 72 hours. The CTE-1000 Cellular Telephone Entry System also lets you send momentary or latch open commands.
- How can I tell who enters my property? Unlike keypads or remote control devices, all transactions using CelAccess products are logged on the web site. You can sort them by date/time or even by access code and find out exactly who entered and when. In order for this feature to be most helpful, be sure to give each person their own personal access code.
- Is cellular coverage required? Most CelAccess devices use advanced wireless data technology and operates on the AT&T/Cingular and T-Mobile GPRS networks. Please check coverage from our home page. In addition, when using the GC-1010 Cellular Access Controller, those persons entering the property will need to call the CelAccess automated service line, so they need to have a cell phone.
- Is CelAccess really secure? Yes! All commands and voice connections are sent through CelAccess’ servers which validate the gate/door number and access codes. Open commands are then transmitted to the remote device using advanced digital technology. To maximize the security, you should not give your access code to anyone. In addition, personal access codes given to others should be set to expire thus preventing their unwanted use.
